PRESENTING IDEAS: GLOGSTER & ANIMOTO
There are many online tools that can be used to frame ideas and share student work. Glogster allows users to create digital learning posters which can contain text, music, video, and images. Animoto enables you to fuse together text, images and music to form dynamic 30-second videos.
Glogster: Creative Storytelling through "Glogs"
Glogster is a "the leading global education platform for the creative expression of knowledge and skills in the classroom and beyond" (Glogster, 2012). Teachers and students can create Glogs -- dynamic online multimedia posters that contain a variety of elements including photos, graphics, text, video and audio. With a library of hundreds of drag and drop elements such as frames and textboxes, the creative possibilities are endless. In the classroom, Glogs can be used as a "digital learning center", a stand alone multimedia poster, a station activity element, or as a vehicle for students to display understanding. As an educator, you are eligible for an EDUcator account which allows for ad-free glog creation and allows you to assign 30-250 student accounts and range in price from $39-$390/yr. With premium access, teachers can manage student work through an interactive dashboard.

Animoto in Education: Examples from the Classroom
You can learn a great deal about this tool by watching videos generated by both teachers and students. Below are two examples created with Animoto. The first video was published by an eighth grade mathematics teachers to highlight student artwork on M.C. Escher. The second piece was created by a student and focuses on figurative language.
