Directions to Boston College
The Summer Technology Academy is being held in Stokes Hall on the Chestnut Hill campus of Boston College. Boston College is accessible by public transportation and by car. The directions outlined below include details on how to access the Chestnut Hill campus as well as Stokes Hall. You are encouraged to park in the Beacon Street garage.
DIRECTIONS TO BOSTON COLLEGE
Travel by Public Transportation
The Boston College branch of the MBTA's "Green Line" (B) ends at the Boston-Newton boundary on Commonwealth Avenue. Once you exit the T, cross to the other side of Commonwealth Avenue and walk up the hill to the right to the Main Gate. Enter campus there, walk down Linden Lane and past Gasson Hall (the tower building). Once you enter the quad, follow the pathway down the stairs on your right. Stokes Hall is the first building on your right as you come down the stairs. Registration is located in the foyer on the first floor.
Travel by Car From Points North and South
Take Interstate 95 (Route 128) to Exit 24 (Route 30). Proceed east on Route 30 (Commonwealth Avenue) and follow for about five miles to Boston College. Turn right at St. Ignatius Church onto St. Thomas More Road. Follow past the reservoir and take a right onto Beacon Street. Take your first right into the Beacon Street Parking Garage. Proceed to the top level of the garage which is the designated area for visitors and walk down the stairs inside the garage to the 1st floor. Exit the garage on the Merkert Chemistry building side, closest to Beacon Street, where you entered. Walk to your right and up the stairs past Merkert. At the top of the stairs, continue to follow the pathway past Campion Hall (on your left). At the access road, bear right and walk between McGuinn Hall and Fulton Hall to the staircase. Proceed up the stairs and the main entrance to Stokes Hall is located directly across the green.
From Points West
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (Route 90) to Exit 17. At the first set of lights after the exit ramp, take a right onto Centre Street. Follow Centre Street to the fourth set of lights, and turn left onto Commonwealth Avenue. Follow Commonwealth Avenue 1-1/2 miles to Boston College. Turn right at St. Ignatius Church onto St. Thomas More Road. Follow past the reservoir and take a right onto Beacon Street. Take your first right into the Beacon Street Parking Garage.
